ABOUT US
The Open Road programme is funded by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
The programme currently operates in 11 locations around New Zealand.
The Open Road Driver Training Programme helps enables practical driver education to former refugees to sit their Restricted and Full License.
Having a driver's licence contributes to successful settlement in many ways such as:
-
Increased independence and confidence
-
Transporting children to and from school
-
Securing employment
-
Social engagement and connection
Over the past 4 years we have supported more than 1000 former refugees to sit and pass their test.
